There is something about clinical, minimalistic packages for beauty products that wins the customer trust. Perhaps it is the fact that they dont look frivolous, and thus seem result oriented.

Two of the products of dermalogica specially designed to have luminosity skin and smoothed tone has been tried.

One was the Age Smart's Multivitamin Thermafoliant, priced at RM249 for a 75ml tube and the other is ChromaWhite TR C-12 Concentrate, priced at RM409 for a 30ml bottle.

The Thermafoliant is an exfoliant that can be used two to three times a week on damp skin. The product combines magnesium oxide, silica and sodium bicarbonate to form a fine mineral powder as a polisher.

Compared to others in the market, it also contains Vitamin E and pure Vitamin A to help reverse the signs of ageing.

The other ingredients are white leaf, licorice root and soybean seed extracts protect the skin against free radicals and stimulate new collagen formation.

The result found amazing. It seems good for my tired skin. The skin has a fine sheen whenever I apply it twice a week - especially on sleep-deprived days.

The C-12 is rather potent. The silky cream contains a lot of ingredients with scientific names which I can't fathom, such as oligopeptide-34, zinc glycinate and palmaria palmata. The substance lightens and improves skin clarity.

With the use of the heavy-duty exfoliator and the lightening cream, the skin became luminous after a month of religious use, a glowing clarity which made foundation redundant.
