What USA gets, UK follows closely behind, but not so in the case of the Kindle or the Clarisonic, Both have been out in the USA for yonks, and now Clarisonic has finally made it to UK.
The Clarisonic is a powered brush cleanser that utilizes Sonicare technology to deep cleanse the skin. Yes that's right- the same power that runs those electric toothbrushes is used in the design of this skin cleaning device. So what is it precisely, and how does it work?
The brush sits in a inductive charging cradle, enabling you to use it without wires or batteries, and it's 100% waterproof, so it's fine to use in the shower.
You apply a usual cleanser to your skin and you then turn on the brush. Move it smoothly across your face for one to two minutes, floating it across the skin, and not applying any pressure. If you press it hard the safety feature will kick in and the brush head will stop moving, so don't worry about causing any damage. The idea behind the brush is that we usually don't fully remove our daily products completely, which causes a barrier to the absorption of high quality creams like night moisturizers.
Once you've completed your face session simply rinse the brush head and leave in the bathroom for next time, One charge will give you around 30 uses, which is great if you're going on holiday and don't want to carry a charger. They say that continual use will improve skin texture and quality, and as it allows your products to be absorbed.
There are two models, a basic 'Classic' version and the Plus, the difference is that the Plus has a body brush head for exfoliating dead cells of your thighs and other areas. There are also different brush heads you can buy such as sensitive or delicate as well as normal.
