The price is great, the bottle is good for travel, and it is really nice for thick hair. Love Alterna and this is a good shampoo for everyone in the house to use.

added just the right amount of moisture to tame my frizz. very thick conditioner, so you don't need that much. the only thing I would change, just as everyone says, is the packaging. very cute, but having to twist makes it difficult. I usually leave the bottle upside down in the shower because of how thick the product is.

  3. Bottle great for travel

The packaging is very unique but one of the helpful gals explained that it makes it easier to travel with--I agree! I travel for weeks at a time, so I always check-in my hair products. This bottle has never opened or spilled in my bag. At home, I keep it upside down because the conditioner is so thick. I really love it though---my frizzy hair has been tamed!

I am updating my previous unfavorable review of this product. Some of the comments -- such as the difficult-to-pump bottle and the trouble distributing in the hair because of thickness - are still true. However, I turned the bottle upside down so that the product was always close to the opening to facilitate using it. After using about 3/4 of the bottle I did notice that my hair was smoother and most of the fly-away ends were gone. Note that I did not purchase the product specifically for anti-frizz, as I was actually looking for a color retention conditioner. The salesperson in my local Planet Beauty recommended it. In any case -- it's a more favorable review, with the exceptions noted.

  5. I would not buy this again

I dislike this product, starting from the packaging. Rather than a pump or one of those flip-up tops, the product is supposed to come up through a hole in the cap when you twist the cap to open position and press down. It doesn't. I tried and tried and ultimately had to just unscrew the cap and then take off the cap each morning when I condition my hair.

The product is thick, so it doesn't come up easily from the bottle. I think this would be true even if the lid worked properly. It also doesn't distribute easily in the hair and doesn't rinse out very easily either.

If I had more time I'd return it to the store … instead I'd rather use the give-away conditioner from the last hotel I stayed in.
